AI Content And Why Originality Will Be More Important Than Ever

AI chatbots are biased towards saying the most average thing because that’s how they’re built. All AI-writing tools know is what they’ve been trained on, which is by definition things people have already said. They are literally programmed to find the most likely word that goes after the word it just wrote, over and over again.

Marketing and SEO expert, Benji Hynam, calls this "mirage content" - content that on the surface looks well-written, but if you actually read the details it's just high-level fluff. He believes AI will create an overabundance of mirage content, resulting in a race to the bottom.

Benji makes a valid point. Right now, chatbots like ChatGPT do produce rather vanilla outputs. But that's only if AI is left it's own devices.

When infused with your soul, unique insights, experience, and proper priming, AI can produce magnificant work at superhuman speeds.

While we believe in a symbiosis of humans and AI operating together, Benji's thesis is still valuable to read as it reinforces the importance of originality in your work.

No Technology in History has Caused Mass Unemployment

Consider all the world-changing tech advancements over the past 70 years such as smartphones, the internet, jet engines, computers to name a few. None have lead to widespread job loss.

In fact, of the 270 jobs listed in the 1950 US Census, only one was eliminated by automation: elevator operator. Pretty much everyone who wants a job still has a job today. And this time around with AI, it'll be no different.

Before the airplane was invented airline pilots, flight attendants, and air traffic controllers did not exist. Before the automobile was invented car salesmen, auto mechanics, and tire manufacturers did not exist.

This is why tech investor Stephen McBride believes AI will birth thousands of new jobs we haven't imagined yet.

AI Helps Rescue John Lennon's Vocals for ‘Last Beatles Record’

Former Beatles frontman Paul McCartney says AI was used in the production of a “last Beatles record” to be released later this year. According to McCartney, technology developed for the recent Beatles documentary Get Back was able to extract his late bandmate John Lennon’s vocals from a low-quality cassette recording. This was then used to create the foundation for the track.

“So when we came to make what will be the last Beatles record — it was a demo that John had, that we worked on, and we just finished it up, and it’ll be released this year — we were able to take John’s voice and get it pure through this AI so that then we could mix the record as you would normally do,” McCartney said.
