ChatGPT In Trouble: OpenAI May Go Bankrupt by 2024
In its bid to become the face of generative AI through their AI chatbot ChatGPT, Sam Altman’s AI development studio has put itself in a position, where it might have to soon declare bankruptcy, as per a report by Analytics India Magazine.
Apparently, it costs OpenAI about $700,000 every day to run just one of its AI services – ChatGPT. As a result, OpenAI is burning through cash at the moment. And despite their attempt to monetise GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, OpenAI is not generating enough revenue to break even. Like Icarus, did Sam Altman fly too close to the sun?

This Video Editor Cut His Work Time by 90% using AI tools
Photographer and video editor Joe Guilar can now do three to four jobs in the time it previously took him to do one. And it’s all thanks to artificial intelligence (AI).
The Gold-Coast-based freelancer started using AI tools for his editing work late last year and said it had helped him massively boost his efficiency. One of his main freelance jobs is converting articles to videos for small and medium businesses, which he charges US$30 per job on Fiverr.
Guilar said, “When I was doing that manually, it took about three to five hours. Now it takes 30 to 90 minutes. So the AI breaks the script down into individual scenes, it will recommend stock footage to add, and music.”
That’s as much as a 90% cut in work time.
