Stefan Georgi On AI and Fearing the End of the World: You can choose to become a helpless victim who cedes their autonomy and agency to a higher authority…whether that be a God, government, or corperation.

Or you choose to retain and double-down on the very characteristics that make you uniquely human. Optimism. Hope. Innovation. Problem Solving. Free Will.

I'm writing in favor of the second choice, which is to retain your freedom. And I want you to recognize that if you don’t make that choice…if you instead choose to give-up your sense of autonomy and agency…

It won’t be AI that’s ruined your life, it will be you.

Prompt Of the Week

An AI prompt for marketers is a text input designed to guide an AI like ChatGPT in generating creative marketing ideas and copy. It helps you leverage AI to enhance your campaigns and decision-making process.

This week we're sharing a prompt to help you discover new ways of framing your prospects problems.

The prompt:

💡
Most people believe that a slow metabolism is the reason they struggle to lose weight. Which is often true. But, what are other more creative ways to describe the problem of a slow metabolism? For example, one highly successful diet product right now describes the problem as "low inner body temperature." They position this "low inner body temperature" as the root cause of weight struggles.

Write me 20 other simple ways to describe this problem. For each new way, include a brief 2-3 sentence description actually explaining the problem.

What was one of the outputs ChatGPT came up with?

"Thermal Resistance": Your body is not generating enough heat to effectively burn calories, leading to weight gain and a lack of energy.

We used this prompt for market research in the weight loss niche, but it can be utalized in any niche.

Simply follow this structure:

1. Most people believe that <existing belief> is the reason they struggle to <pain point>.
2. But, what are other more creative ways to describe the problem of <main problem>.
3. For example, <insert commonly used or popular solution your prospect will know about>.
4. Write me 20 other simple ways to describe this problem. For each new way, include a brief 2-3 sentence description actually explaining the problem.

Unraveling AI

Subscriber Submitted Question: "By using Chat GPT, one is able to save a good amount of time and one might be able to produce phenomenal results. But then wouldn't business owners mind that...? I mean they'll be paying freelancers for their hours...And if freelancers complete the work in less time meanwhile charging double the rate for the task, wouldn't the hiring managers or business owners have an objection...?"

Our Answer: Good clients don't care how long it takes you to do something, they care about results. If you bring them results, they're happy. And they'd still rather pay someone else to do this stuff than do it themselves as they've got a million other things to deal with.

In the News

“The Godfather of A.I.” Leaves Google and Warns of Danger Ahead - For half a century, Geoffrey Hinton nurtured the technology at the heart of chatbots like ChatGPT. Now he's scared it could tear apart the fabric of society.

“The idea that this stuff could actually get smarter than people — a few people believed that,” said Hinton to the NYT. “But most people thought it was way off. And I thought it was way off. I thought it was 30 to 50 years or even longer away. Obviously, I no longer think that.”
