You Must Meet Mika: The World’s First AI CEO

It's not only ChatGPT. All chatbots from Google’s Bard to Claude 2 make up sources, facts, and statistics out of thin air. The worst part is they spit them back at you with complete conviction.

Everything You Need to Know about ChatGPT’s New Upgrades

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, held its first developer event this past week and it did not disappoint. Major upgrades are on the way to the already mind-blowing platform. Let's talk about the crucial ones you need to know about.

A More Powerful GPT-4: OpenAI unveiled an improved version of their GPT-4 model called GPT-4 Turbo. Headlining the upgrade is a much larger context window for users. GPT-4 Turbo has a context window of 128,000 tokens or roughly 100,000 words.

That's four times the size of GPT-4’s and the largest context window of any commercially available model, surpassing even Anthropic’s Claude 2. (Which has a 100,000 token context window)

Another notable improvement with GPT-4 Turbo is its knowledge cut-off date. The new model has a knowledge cut-off of April 2023, compared to GPT-4’s September 2021 cut-off.

Create Your Own GPT Bots - No Code Required: You'll soon be able to create your own versions of GPT bots for fun or productivity. And simply through prompts without needing to know any coding.

OpenAI also said it plans to let users publish these GPTs to a store — coming later this month — as well. It will initially have creations from “verified builders.” During his keynote address, CEO Sam Altman talked about paying people with popular GPTs.

New Text-to-Speech Features: OpenAI’s now providing a text-to-speech API, Audio API, that offers six preset voices — Alloy, Echo, Fable, Onyx, Nova and Shimer — to choose from and two generative AI model variants.

“This is much more natural than anything else we’ve heard out there, which can make apps more natural to interact with and more accessible."

OpenAI Wants to Protect You from Legal Trouble: The company is launching a project called Copyright Shield with the promise to protect businesses using the AI company’s products from copyright claims. The company said it will pay legal fees if customers using “generally available” OpenAI’s developer platform and ChatGPT Enterprise face IP lawsuits against content created by OpenAI’s tools.

The AI Marketers Aren’t Talking About (But Should Be)

Imagine having an AI intern named Dave on your marketing team. Dave never sleeps, thinks faster than any human, and has a digital memory that never forgets important details.

While you're busy planning campaigns, Dave is crunching data and uncovering trends you'd never spot on your own. He can analyze complex consumer information and reveal how Generation Z's preferences are evolving. Dave can even predict future buying habits before they happen.

If you're stressed, Dave can recommend relaxing articles or uplifting poems to brighten your day. If you love hiking, he'll suggest those cool new boots you've been eyeing.

This is a dream one little-known AI company wants to make a reality. But it has nothing to do with ChatGPT, Claude, Bing or Bard.

AI marketer Melissa Parrott recently deep-dived into this underground AI. In her latest post in the AI Marketers group she revealed exactly what you need to know about it today to get ahead of your competitors.

Prompt of the Week

An AI prompt for marketers is a text input designed to guide an AI like ChatGPT in generating creative marketing ideas and copy. It helps you leverage AI to enhance your campaigns and decision-making processes.

This week's featured prompt is simple, yet one we use on a daily basis. It's called the R&R Prompt. Implementing it can be the difference between getting good outputs and great outputs from AI.

R&R stands for "Review & Rewrite". Simply enter this prompt AFTER a chatbot's first response to get vastly improved output. You know, like the one you were looking for the first time!

Here's the prompt:

💡
This is a fantastic start, but your output could be better.

Please go back over the original source material or text I provided and double check for any important details or directions you missed the first time around.

Now I want you to perform a rewrite of the text. This time around, include any of those missed details. Improve your output based as closely on my initial directions as possible.

What's awesome about the R&R Prompt is you can add on a ton of qualifiers to really dial in your AI. For example, when extracting key points from a podcast transcript or webinar, we like to include this at the end: "make sure to make your output [X% longer]."

It forces the chatbot to produce a more in-depth response. Even better, you can run the prompt 1,2,3 times in a row and by the third time have an output 10X better than the first one.

For now, AI isn't perfect and misses a lot on the first go around. The R&R Prompt gives you a simple copy and paste means of getting better outputs, faster.

Tool to Try

Descript - Huge thank you to Richard Mathews, founder of Push Button Podcasts, for putting us on to this tool. Descript is a true all-in-one audio and video editing tool that simplifies the process of creating content. Thanks to AI, this tool can give anyone Hollywood level editing power. Let's get right into some of Descript's standout features:

It transcribes your videos into text, and any changes you make to the transcript are instantly reflected in the video itself. This innovative approach eliminates complex timelines, making editing as simple as typing, deleting, or rearranging words on a page.

Accurate Transcripts: Descript leverages OpenAI's Whisper machine learning tech, to automatically transcribe audio and video files with high accuracy. Plus, it can automatically create transcripts in 22 different languages.

Record Studio Quality Videos: You can record studio-quality recordings enabled with crisp, clear audio directly within the app. Its sophisticated processing tools ensure that your recordings are professional-grade, suitable for both podcasts and video productions.

Built In Clip Maker for Viral Social Media Posts: Go right from recording to creating eye-catching social posts. Descript streamlines the process of creating engaging, shareable clips from longer pieces of content. And it's complete with custom subtitles and templates proven to go viral.

Record Your Screen Like a Pro: It's designed for ease, enabling you to record, edit, and share your screen or webcam footage with a few simple clicks. This functionality is ideal for creating tutorials, presentations, or any content where showing your screen is essential, streamlining the production process from start to finish.

No Teleprompter? No Problem: Now you can keep looking at the camera no matter where you’re looking — at your script, screen, or slides. Descript's "Eye Contact" feature uses AI to subtly adjust your gaze in video so it appears you're looking directly into the camera — even when you’re reading something off-camera.

An AI just Negotiated a Contract for the First Time Ever — No Human Involved

In a world first, artificial intelligence demonstrated the ability to negotiate a contract autonomously with another AI and without any human involvement.

British AI firm Luminance developed an AI system based on its own proprietary large language model (LLM) to automatically analyze and make changes to contracts. LLMs are a type of AI algorithm that can achieve general-purpose language processing and generation.

Jaeger Glucina, chief of staff and managing director of Luminance, said the company’s new AI aimed to eliminate much of the paperwork that lawyers typically need to complete on a day-to-day basis.

Elon Musk Launches AI Chatbot ‘Grok,’ Says it Can Outperform ChatGPT

Elon Musk and his AI startup xAI announced “Grok” — an AI chatbot that can supposedly outperform OpenAI’s first iteration of ChatGPT in several academic tests.

The motivation behind building Grok is to create AI tools equipped to assist humanity by empowering research and innovation, Musk and xAI explained in a Nov. 5 X post. Musk and the xAI team said a “unique and fundamental advantage” of Grok is that it has real-time knowledge of the world via the X platform.

“It will also answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems,” Musk said. "Grok is designed to answer questions with a bit of wit and has a rebellious streak, so please don’t use it if you hate humor!"
