Square Enix, Latest to Use AI-Generated Art, Confirmed in Foamstars Game

Final Fantasy Developer Square Enix has reportedly used AI-generated art from software program "Midjourney" in its upcoming game, Foamstars as confirmed by the game's producer, Kosuke Okatani.

The producer stated that the development team wanted to experiment with artificial intelligence in its project, but clarified that most of the art in the upcoming game is still human-made, including every single essential component of Foamstars, including the gameplay mechanics and the fun aspects of the game.

Elon Musk’s Tesla Robot Demonstrates Laundry Folding Ability

Tesla showcased its Optimus humanoid robot folding a t-shirt in a scripted demo, but CEO Elon Musk admitted the robot lacks true autonomy for now and still faces big challenges before becoming a fully capable domestic assistant down the road. AI-Generated George Carlin Drops Comedy Special That Daughter Speaks Out Against: ‘No Machine Will Ever Replace His Genius’

More than 15 years after his death, stand-up comedian George Carlin has been brought back to life in an artificial intelligence-generated special called “George Carlin: I’m Glad I’m Dead.” 

The hour-long special, which dropped on Tuesday, comes from Dudesy, a comedy AI that hosts a podcast and YouTube show with “Mad TV” alum Will Sasso and podcaster Chad Kultgen.

Microsoft's new Copilot Pro subscription offers latest AI models for $20 per month

Microsoft is launching a premium subscription for its Copilot AI service that gives you access to OpenAI’s latest chatbots. Specifically, CoPilot Pro will offer priority access to GPT-4 Turbo, alongside the ability to create your own custom Copilot chatbots, and other features. The new option is out now for $20 per month.

Released last November, OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo can essentially handle more data thanks to a 128K context window. That means it can better understand queries and provide better responses.

OpenAI Quietly Removes Ban On Military Use of Its AI Tools

OpenAI has quietly walked back a ban on the military use of ChatGPT and its other artificial intelligence tools, although its policies still state that users should not “use our service to harm yourself or others,” including to “develop or use weapons.” The shift comes as OpenAI begins to work with the U.S. Department of Defense on AI tools, including open-source cybersecurity tools, according to a Tuesday interview at the World Economic Forum.

To prevent humanoids and robots from wreaking havoc due to malfunctions and other factors, Google Deepmind drafts up a Robot Constitution, a set of detailed guidelines that instructs intelligent machinery on what they should and shouldn’t do.
